Happy New Year, lovelies!! We had such a fun New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. I actually still can’t believe it’s January 1st as I’m typing this.
One New Year’s Eve, we went to see the Harlem Globetrotters game in White Plains. The plan was to go see the Rockettes or a Broadway show. When we were able to get these tickets, we opted for them instead. I wore the softest dress ever. I received this dress from Whit Michelle Boutique while in New York. This was the second time wearing it and everyone loved it. The dress has pockets, has a great fit, is long enough to be modest on its own, and has the softest material I think I’ve ever worn. It would look great with or without a belt.
I was pranked during the game. They were running around and splashing people with water. The next thing I knew, they were headed towards me. My thought process was that I need to duck so they don’t wet my hair. I had spent HOURS straightening it and having it get wet was NOT an option. Well, I realize now, drawing attention to myself was a huge mistake. Please go to my YOUTUBE channel to watch the video. I don’t want to ruin the surprise by telling you how the story ends.
So, many of you don’t know this, but I recently lost a lot of weight. I’m still losing, but I need exercise to continue to lose. I can’t wait to get back to Florida to continue on my journey.
Since January is a month for new beginnings, I wanted to take the time to share some apps I used to lose some of the weight. They are easy to install and easy to use.
- C25K – I LOVE this running app. It is really geared toward people who have never really run before, but it’s also good for those who have. You can download it on your phone and use it anywhere you go. It will have you ready to run a 5K in a few weeks. Also, if you walk/run outdoors, it will tell you when you’re halfway done so you can turn around and go back.
- Beach Body on Demand – I have used this so many times. I love to workout outdoors and at the gym, but for those who like to exercise in the comfort of their own home, this is perfect for you. I like it because you have access to hundreds of programs and you can also view them right from your phone.
- MyFitnessPal – this app is great to help you keep track of your daily caloric intake. It tracks, water, exercise, etc. It will also help you figure out how many calories you need to be able to lose weight.
