Throw/Attend These Holidays Parties and a Striped, Floral Dress

The fall and holiday season have to be the best times of year ever! One thing I love is how clothing takes on a different look for this time. For instance, this dress I’m wearing screams fall. What’s great about it is that the floral pattern is dark so it’s not a spring look. The other thing I LOVE on the dress is the sleeves! I mean, look at how cute they are!?! When @froufroucollection sent me the picture and asked me to choose one, I initially liked this one, but it wasn’t me. I decided to stay open to it, and when I tried it on, I fell in love with it.

I think the main reason I loved it so much is because it’s not normally something I would have chosen for myself, but when I was looking at the picture, I loved the color combination so much and thought it would look really nice. Any time I look at something, I quickly visualize how I would wear it, and I knew I would love it. You could wear it with or without a sleeveless cardigan the way I did. I would not cover up the sleeves at all. It gives the dress so much character. The length of the dress is perfect, the material is soft, and the colors of the flowers is so vibrant.

For the past few years, I’ve been blessed to be able to host several amazing (in my opinion) parties with a few of my favorite girlfriends. Below, I’ll list a few parties you should either throw or try to attend if invited.

  1. A friendsgiving dinner. I’ve wanted to have one for a few years now. I have an extensive amount of entertaining items, but since we spend the holidays with family, we can’t have formal place settings – tooooo many people. I figure it would be a good way to spend time with friends and be able to use my fancy items. I have a really exciting idea for this year’s dinner, but I can’t share it yet in case one of the guests-in-waiting is reading this blog post.
  2. A Christmas-themed party. This year will be the third-annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Party at my house. Woot woot! 🎉 We normally have an ornament swap and have a great time.
  3. A tea party – these are so fun! I’ll be hosting my second one in a few weeks so this weekend, we’re headed to Orlando to taste teas for the party. If you missed the one I threw last year, go HERE to read it. If you want to know how to plan a tea party, go HERE for details.

Have you ever atttended any of these? Have you ever thrown one? Tell me about it below 😀
