Hello, and Happy Monday…and day after Christmas! We spent this Christmas in Florida…the first time in nine years. Life changed a bit for us a few weeks ago and by the time we decided to buy our tickets, the prices had gone up so much it almost wasn’t worth going away. It worked out though. We had a blast with our Florida family. We hadn’t spent Christmas with them in so long. Also, a lot of our family normally in Florida went to New York and California.
The only drawback was the massive allergy attack I suffered. I didn’t want to take Benadryl, so my aunt offered me a prescription pill. It helped a bit, but after dinner I went home and took the Benadryl anyway. I was in bed by 9 and slept for about 12 hours. That was not my ideal night haha. I had baked a lemon-cranberry cake and a pumpkin-apple bread and used my new pans we just bought at Williams Sonoma (both 20% off). I linked them in the widget above. We had planned on having dessert and watching Christmas movies…apparently that didn’t happen haha. I don’t even have pictures of the cakes because my boys couldn’t help themselves 🙂
Anyhoo, I wanted to share these deals with you. My sweater dress is one of two recently purchased at Kohl’s before Thanksgiving. I bought a black and a gray one. They were originally $50 each. They were marked down to $29.99 each, but also, if you bought one, you saved 50% off the second one. I then had a 10% off coupon and a $10 of $25 coupon. It made both dresses less than $16 each! My leggings were also a recent purchase from Amazon. Faux leather leggings are trending right now, so I thought I’d share a way to wear them. My sweater dress was a bit short (for me) to be worn by itself, so wearing the leggings was a great way to make the whole look more modest.
The sunglasses I’m wearing are linked above for $300, but if you go HERE, you can try them out FREE for a month. Click on the link to get all the details.
I’ll try to get back on here with another Fashionista Tip this week, but I can’t guarantee it. If not, I’ll try to add one next week…or the week after 🙂
