Never mind my facial expression, lol, but I’m crazy about blush colors right now. Here is the skirt:
Happy Monday, everyone! I’m still here. Thank God! Hurricane Matthew sideswiped the area in which I live and we didn’t have any damage. We contemplated leaving and trying to get away from the hurricane, but in the end, we stayed and braved the storm. We purchased extra cases of water, cooked some food, put the shutters on all the windows, and waited for the rain.
It was already windy for many hours before the hurricane was set to hit. It was raining a lot too. We couldn’t even keep our curiosity at bay. We kept opening the front door to see what was going on. I know, I know. Who barricades themselves inside and keeps looking out? We do! Haha. Thankfully, all my family members were safe as well. The only issue was that one aunt’s home was half flooded because two of her sky lights blew out and destroyed the living room furniture and flooded the kitchen and living room. I’m so glad she and her kids had gone to my other aunt’s house. My boys had gone over the two days prior to put up plywood, but I don’t think anyone thought about skylights or even remembered them.
I do want to thank everyone who called and messaged me to make sure we were okay. I really appreciate that. Before I go, I wanted to share the details of this skirt with you. I bought it from Amazon for $19.99. It’s in the picture above, and you can click on it to view/purchase it. It has an elastic waist, the pleats are gorgeous, and there are other colors. I almost want to buy more of them, but this blush color is perfect! I’m actually loving all things blush right now as you’ll see when I share another skirt with you.
Also, my shoes, which I love so much, can be purchased for $39.99! I paid a little more than that, but they are so comfortable and chic. I love the nude color too, but seriously, the calf hair pair I’m wearing are one of my favorites!
For the sheer shirt, I wanted to add it because it offered a little bit of pizazz because….well, why not? Lol. It wasn’t gaudy and over the top, but there was just the right amount of glitter and sparkle.
Have a great day, everyone. Our internet has been unstable over the past few days, so I’ll be working on this week’s blog posts. I have to get my house back in order. We had to bring in the patio furniture, and they are taking up a lot of space. Yikes.
How about you? Did you or anyone you know go through this or another hurricane? How was the rebuilding?
