Happy Friday, everyone! How was your week? I was off kilter all week long because of the holiday on Monday. I could never keep up with the days…at all. I almost missed some assignments for school because I didn’t realize yesterday was Thursday haha. Anyway, this post is long overdue, but I think you’ll enjoy it.
Many of you know my family and I went to Maui last month to celebrate my hubby’s birthday. We had such a blast. We literally fell in love with Maui and are trying to go back every year. The only thing is that we want to try other Hawaiian islands and other destinations outside the U.S.
I wrote a lot about our experiences there. Go HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE to read all about it. In this post, I wanted to share some information about our resort and what I learned while on vacation.
The name of the resort is the Aston Kaanapali Shores. It is located in Ka’anapali on the island of Maui. There are several resorts next door. It is situated right on the beach, and you can eat in the on-site restaurant or swim in one of the pools while looking out onto the Pacific Ocean.
The resort is directly across the street from a grocery store and several small stores including a coffee house, an Italian restaurant, clothing stores, a store where you can get gelato, etc. It was very convenient for us since we had a full kitchen and could make a quick bite to eat if we wanted. We also only had a car for two days because we wanted to spend our time relaxing and not driving all over the place. Not having a car wasn’t a problem with how conveniently located we were.
We stayed in a one bedroom condo. The unit was very spacious. We had a full, gourmet kitchen, washer and dryer, and a balcony with a table chairs and a lounge chair overlooking one of the pools and a bit of the ocean. Milty slept on the sofa, and we took the bedroom. The bathroom was in the hallway, so you didn’t have to enter the bedroom to get to it. It was perfect for our sleeping arrangements.
The staff was really nice. We had housekeeping every day. They also gave us fresh towels, toiletries, etc. It was nice to not have to launder towels or buy toilet tissue and paper towels while we were there. We’ve stayed at some places where you had to pay extra for housekeeping. No fun.
Sorry for the picture of the bed that wasn’t made. I took some of these pictures the day we were leaving. We were actually even sad to leave. I don’t think we’ve had a family vacation experience as nice as this one.
Go HERE for more pics and details.
If you have any specific questions, please leave it in a comment below. Just know that I would highly recommend this resort. Lord willing, in the next few weeks, I’ll follow up with what we learned by going on this trip.
