Happy Monday, beauties. I celebrated my birthday last week Thursday. This was one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had.
In the wee hours of Thursday morning, the boys called me into the kitchen. This was after Milty had come into my bedroom to give me a birthday card. In it? A Starbucks gift card! These guys know me so well.
The cake was the Fudge Truffle Red Velvet Cake from Cold Stone Creamery. We order lots of cakes from there, but this one had to have been the best one ever! Our top ice cream cakes are from Carvel and Cold Stone.
On Thursday, we went to Orlando for the day. My poor hubby was trying to find Nordstrom but didn’t realize it had been shut down. He’s so sweet because he knows about a pair of shoes I’ve wanted for so long I can’t even remember. We went to Nordstrom Rack instead.
We found the shoes there but put them on hold. We then went to Bloomingdale’s and Neiman Marcus. I found two of the items I’ve always wanted at Bloomingdales. They are the Rebecca Minkoff Love Cross Body bags and a Tory Burch Cross Body in gold. They were all on sale with an additional discount. The gold Tory Burch bag had cash-back rewards if I would have purchased it. I couldn’t even decide on what I wanted. The pink cross body was nice, but I had just bought a pink clutch. The putty (gray) was so nice especially because it has a black strap, but the yellow one was so fitting for the seasons coming up.
I really wanted the gold bag, but I reasoned that since the other colors were on sale, I would wait on the gold one. I also ended up getting the flats. These were the shoes Milt took me to buy in the first place, and very similar to the ones we left on hold at Nordstrom Rack.
After shopping, we went to a Brazilian steakhouse. We bought and used a Living Social deal and had a great dinner. I don’t get the full buffet though. It’s way too much food for one person.
I do appreciate all the birthday love I received from all of you on Facebook, Instagram, texts, emails, etc. Thank you so much, and have a wonderful day.
Oh, which bag do you prefer?
