Valentine’s Day Outfit Inspo 1

DSC_0002Valentine’s Day is almost here, and by some strange miracle, the month of January is over, and February is in full swing. I seriously don’t know how time is going by so quickly.
DSC_0011DSC_0013For this outfit, I wanted to wear black and white with a  pop of color. I opted for a white bag and hung a red pom pom charm from it and the other pop of color was a red bag.DSC_0016DSC_0010DSC_0014I LOVE this dress. It’s made out of crochet-lace. I have it in white and red. You know me lol. If I find something I like, I’ll usually buy it in more than one color. I’ll probably use the red one for another Valentine’s Day outfit option in the next few days. The only thing I don’t love about the dress is that it isn’t long enough for me. I always wear something else under it to extend it. Today I used a lace skirt, but you can use skirt extenders, etc. when you need to add length to your skirts/dresses.DSC_0008DSC_0006DSC_0003

DSC_0004These bags are about a year old, so I linked bags that are of the same brand, but either very similar to mine or the newer version. I also linked several different crochet-lace dresses in case you wanted a different color. Also, my shoes are so cheap right now. I bought these shoes in THREE colors because they are so comfortable, pretty, and they were on sale at the time. Now, the price is ridiculously low.

I’m so excited for this Valentine’s Day because this year, Milt and I are going to host a dinner for a few of our friends. If you have been following along for a bit, you might have picked up on the fact that I do NOT like to cook. I know how to cook, but I don’t like to do so. However, I love to bake.

For this dinner party, I will be making everything…from scratch. I can’t even wait. I’ll be making some of my favorites, and they’re all gourmet yumminess hehe. The menu will include twice-baked potatoes, poached salmon appetizer, sweet and spicy meatballs, my (mom’s) famous salad, smoked gouda and spinach stuffed chicken, a special drink I make called ‘Die While You’re Dreaming’ (absolutely non-alcoholic), among other items. Dessert will be (red velvet) cupcakes, chocolate covered strawberries, and a hot chocolate bar. This is a very rough draft of the menu, but I have warned my guests to come hungry lol.

I’ll be sure to take photos of the set up and the food and share it with you. What are your plans for Valentine’s?

Hugs,

Delaine
