I’m so excited for this weekend. Yesterday, my parents’ celebrated thirty-eight years of marriage! On Saturday, Milt and I celebrate our engagement anniversary, and we also have plans to go to the Ringling Brothers Circus! We both have not gone to that circus since we were kids in NY. Lord willing, we’ll make it safely and have a blast.
In the past few weeks I have come to realize that I love to wear dresses. I thought I did before, but my love of dresses has skyrocketed in the past few weeks. When I think about this dress that I am wearing, how could I not?
I also had this dress custom-made by the same company, @normonydesign, that made this one. I can’t believe the feel of this chambray dress. It is very soft, and I love the fact that it is so versatile. In these pictures, I paired the dress with a leopard belt and these leopard calf shoes. During the day, however, I also had on a leopard infinity scarf with this outfit. The scarf literally transformed the outfit into a whole different look. I love pieces such as these. Why spend a ton of money on a whole lot of clothes? I would rather buy clothing that can be used in several outfits just by mixing up the accessories.
Oh, by the way, these shoes are amazing! I posted a pair of them here a few days ago. After I started looking for them online, I noticed that the same shoes were on sale in different colors and patterns. I couldn’t help myself.
What surprised me about the leopard pair is that it’s actual calf hair on the shoe and not just a pattern. Even though the heel is not low, they are very comfortable to wear. What I really like about this brand of shoes is how extremely well-made they are. I actually own several pairs of his shoes and that is the reason I don’t mind snagging them when they’re on sale. I think about cost-per-wear as opposed to cost-per-item. These will last me a long time, so when I think of it that way, they’re not expensive at all (and they’re really not, they’re on sale now and you can use a coupon)!
If you look below, I created a little slide show of the items I’m wearing. I linked a bag similar to mine, but mine is here (my actual bag has pink on the inside). I also linked the perfume I was wearing and a similar scarf. Also, my watch is Coach, but it’s no longer available, so I linked a similar one.
I have a friend that is a pharmaceutical sales rep, and she once told me that whenever she found a good skirt suit, she would buy it in every color? Do you agree? When you find a good deal, are you the shopper that gets one if every color and style? Or are you content with the one?
As always, thanks for reading! It truly means a lot to me. Also, do you have any suggestions for blog posts? I’d love to have your feedback.
