Happy Friday, lovelies! I’m still recovering from the worst dream last night. It caused me to scream out the word, “Help!” I woke up with a start and wanted to cry all night long.

What happened in the dream is that I was outside my home with all the doors of my SUV open. We were cleaning and washing the SUV, and I noticed someone walking towards the back of it. As if in slow motion, the person stepped on the back bumper, reached in to grab a money bag that was on the back seat, and proceeded to walk towards the front of the SUV, before finally breaking into a run to quickly get away.

One of the reasons I was so scared is because we  were in front of our house. I didn’t know if he was going to try to enter the house. I saw him approaching my vehicle, but I didn’t want to seem as though I was suspecting him of doing something wrong.. I tried reacting to the threat because my son was outside with me. My reaction, though, was to scream. I was frozen still.

When he ran away, I was so relieved because he did not do anymore harm. I knew there was no money in the bag, so I didn’t care that he had taken it. I had a lot of money in my pocketbook, and I was thankful that he had grabbed the wrong bag. I was so afraid that he would come back for something of value.

I’m so glad this was not real, but this nightmare was too close to home. It is one of the things I fear the most. I always try to keep my car doors locked at all times. We had a break-in at one of our homes a few years ago and I never felt comfortable living there after that. Even though it was a dream, I woke up feeling the same way I did after the break-in.

Thank God I know the peace-speaker!

So in the pictures above, we spent the day at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. The plan was to spend the day in Central Park and Central Park Zoo, but it seemed as if it would rain and we couldn’t find parking spots. I was so glad that we went to this park. The changing leaves were so beautiful and I got to spend the day with my mom, sister, nephews, and friend.

When we pulled into Van Cortlandt Park, I noticed a sign that said we could go canoeing for free. I was extremely excited because I LOVE canoeing and the color of the leaves and the cool weather made the whole day so magical…except for when we arrived at my parents’ house, we realized we were locked out. My mom had left us at the park and I didn’t bring a house key with me because I thought she would be going back to the house with us. We ended up having to eat our pizza on the steps. Luckily, my dad pulled up about five minutes after we did.

Also, I have been on a mug-buying kick. For many, many years, I did not allow mismatched dishes, cups, and glasses in my kitchen. However, recently, I’ve been finding the cutest mugs and tumblers. I have even been getting my initials personalized on some of them. I think I’m obsessed. I’ll be sure to post pics of my recent mug finds.

Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
