Back ‘Home’ for a Week

Happy Monday, lovelies! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I just recently returned from the beautiful state of New York, aka home. I took so many pictures and had so much fun that I will make several posts of the days spent there.

This is my parents’ house. They live right outside the Borough of the Bronx in Westchester County. This is not the house in which we grew up, though they still have that house. They bought this house about ten years ago and it’s almost as though they’ve always owned it. It’s an English tudor and has so much character. I just love it!DSC_0007 DSC_0023 DSC_0040 DSC_0039 DSC_0038 DSC_0037 DSC_0033 DSC_0029 DSC_0027 DSC_0026 DSC_0025 DSC_0024DSC_0042Plaid Shirt: Similar here

I spent the day close to the house on the day I took these pictures. This was the day after we had arrived, and we wanted to stay close to  hang out with my mom. Later that day, my sister came over with her eldest son. The youngest was already with us.

The colors of the leaves were so pretty. I think we went a week or so before the colors were extremely rich. They changed so much during the week we were there that by the time we left, there was so much change.

One thing I can count on when visiting my parents is the fact that my mom will make coffee several times each day. I always have to make sure that the fridge is filled with creamer. I also bought these morsels because I wanted to make pancakes for my family while I was there.

Another thing I can count on is playing the card game, golf. I taught them how to play and we play all the time when we go for visits. If you’ve never played this game, please leave a comment below or send me an email and I will explain it. It’s so much fun!

I just love the fall season. I was able to wear my shooties and other types of clothing that probably wouldn’t be permitted in Florida right now. The cool weather and changing leaves reminded me of why I love Autumn and the change of seasons up north.

What’s your favorite season?

XOXO Delaine
