Have I told you before how much I love the fall season? I mean, I seriously love this time of year! The weather is cooler, the sun looks different in the sky, and the palm trees begin to sway because of the cool breezes.
One of the best things about fall is the possible usage of so many great colors and patterns. I’m wearing some of them in these pictures. Olive has apparently become the new black, and leopard prints seem to work year-round.
As I’m typing this, I’m sitting in bed and taking the day to get better. I came down with a little bug, and it’s one of those things where you’re not sure if it’s allergies or a cold. I realize now that it’s not allergies because of the pain in my throat. I normally have severe throat pains when I get sick, but the last two times, I have been spared the agony.
I don’t think it’s helping that I’ve been stressing out about finding the perfect dining room chairs for my house. I think I may have found two that I think look great, but they seem to be a bit shorter than the other six. The idea was to have the end chairs be different from the side chairs, and I have literally been spending hours in Pier 1 and on Pier1.com trying to get it to be perfect. I hope I can convince my hubby to go there today and make the swap…yet again.
I can’t wait to get better though. I have to start packing for my upcoming trip. I’ll be gone for a week, and I don’t think I’m checking a bag so I need to pack in a very smart way. This should be fun. Also, tomorrow, we have a huge bible-quizzing seminar at our church, and I don’t want to miss it. I love the anticipation that the beginning of the quiz season brings.
Take care and have a great weekend!
